A pheasant barking in the woods woke me before 5 this morning so went down to get a cup of tea and noticed a load of feathers in the garden and went out to investigate, letting the puppy out for a wee.
Lots of feathers but no dead bird, that was until Cosmo rooted out a bloody great wood pigeon that must’ve hidden itself in the hedge – he promptly snaffled it and ran off behind the summer house with it.
He wasn’t coming out so had to get S to go and drag him out but not before he’d had a good chow down!
