Broccoli, Brussels & Borage – Weds 11th June

A gorgeous warm, sunny day here in the Pentlands – it’s days like this that really make me appreciate just how lucky I am to work at home from our garden shed!

After the weekend’s prep we had another planter to fill so in went spinach, mizuna and spring onions. I also planted my broccoli and brussel sprout seedlings.

Now my first batch of seedlings have all been planted I did some more – some fancy ornamental grass (Pennisetum Cream Falls – needed to check the spelling on that one! 😉 ) that we bought at the weekend for our borders as well as some more Nicotiana and some Borage – hopefully with the warmer weather they’ll spring up quickly.

A quick check on my slugs found a few escapees (the little ones) so added some more vegetation, gave them a ‘stir’ and popped them down in the shed out the way.
