Our garden has been woefully neglected – it hasn’t been touched since September and is in a very sorry state – we’re just itching for some better weather to be able to get out and start making amends now.

Despite the continuing hard frosts, snow and neverending rain a wee inspection has thrown up some little signs of Spring. Bulbs that we planted in Autumn 2014 are shooting up and one Iris is optimistically already in bloom. The rhubarb is bursting forth, somewhat early but I have to admire it’s eagerness and there are leaf buds appearing on the fruit bushes.

Definitely time to start getting a gardening to-do list on the go. We’ve also got a landscape gardener coming at the weekend to see about sorting out our front garden which is currently a mass of stone chippings.
