I recently converted some of my Tesco Clubcard points into a Gardeners World magazine subscription and my first one arrived today, along with some free seeds – yay!
I also received a copy of Fruit and Vegetables for Scotland which I’m hoping will save me a lot of time and money like I have in previous years attempting to grow things that quite frankly probably never had a chance at our altitude and in our climate – fingers crossed anyway.
Just as well that these have arrived today as it looks like due to the spread of COVID-19 I’m now pretty much unemployed as all business has been cancelled for the foreseeable. No idea how long this will all go on for and it obviously isn’t ideal financially (understatement) BUT it’ll be a rare opportunity to really get to grips with the garden with so much time on my hands. Every cloud and all that…
In other news, Spring may be teasing us but we’re still way off seeing any daffs flowering here in Nine Mile Burn but these were in the garden of our rental cottage in Elie, Fife at the weekend.
